The Chesapeake Conservation Landscaping Council is sponsoring a conference on sustainable landscaping on Saturday, November 16. Conference tracks will cover the art of sustainable landscape design as well as advances in urban restoration, soil science and selling conservation landscaping. Speakers will also discuss how the role of pollinators can contribute to the landscape and the maintenance of curb appeal with native plants. The conference will be held at the National Conservation Training Center from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm. The $105 fee ($125 after October 20) covers admission to the conference, an EcoMarketplace, educational displays and food. A dinner to celebrate the CCLC’s 10th Anniversary will be held on Friday, November 15th, from 5-8pm at the Bavarian Inn in Shepherdstown.
