Christmas in April repairs and renovates the homes of elderly and disabled Prince George’s County residents. We have repaired 2,583 homes at an estimated value of $45.9 million in the last 29 years thanks to thousands of corporate and community volunteers and supporters like you

Christmas in April is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization, so your donation is tax deductible. Receipts will be available for your convenience at the Tournament. We look forward to seeing you for this fun-filled day. Thanks for your continued support—we could not do it without you!

“Denison Landscaping has been one of our largest supporters since day one (1989).  They have supplied every single plant and landscaping material for all of the 2,419 homes we have repaired in the past 27 years.  Donna was a past member of the Board of Directors and John is currently a member of the Board of Directors and serves as co-chair of our annual golf tournament held in memory of his sister Sue.  John has been instrumental in raising the bar for our golf tournament and continues to amaze me with his generosity.  I simply don’t know how we would continue our mission with out the level of support we receive from Denison Landscaping and the Denison Family”

Good Shepherd Housing Foundation

Denison Landscaping in cooperation with the NHLA (National Hispanic Landscape Association) and RulyScapes, Alexandria Lawn Services, Epling Landscaping and Lawn Services, and Ruppert Landscape are designing and executing a landscaping makeover for a home for the mentally disabled run by the Good Shepherd Housing Foundation, a non-profit charitable endeavor.

By improving the grounds of one Good Shepherd home in Woodbridge, VA on the 22nd of April, we are working to create more pleasant, safe, healthy, and usable outdoor space for residents and staff, and assist the Good Shepherd Housing Foundation with an important demonstration project that they can use as a showcase in kicking off a new capital campaign on May 6 to raise the funds needed to rehabilitate all their buildings and grounds.

The Accokeek Foundation

As a part of this “40 Green Initiatives” project, the Accokeek Foundation was selected to identify a landscaping project on site that would improve its daily operations. After discussing the various needs of the site with members of the Denison staff, installing an irrigation system in the Accokeek Foundation’s Museum Garden was identified as the project. Maintained with the help of volunteers, the Museum Garden is an educational space filled with modern and heirloom herbs, flowers, and vegetables. This quiet spot on Cedar Lane is used as a venue for educational programs, workshops, and performances, and is designed to teach visitors about agriculture and the environment on a small scale.
