GPS & SURVEILLANCE MANAGER

Job Summary: The GPS/Surveillance Manager is responsible for daily monitoring of all

company security cameras and GPS tracking devices. This person is responsible for communicating all violations to relevant departments for disciplinary or other action.

 Duties / Essential Functions:

Supervise and monitor all current security measures including on-site security cameras and GPS vehicle tracking.

• Daily monitoring of all security cameras via computer monitors; Daily review of security camera tapes from previous night.

• Ensure proper functioning of security cameras and troubleshoot issues.

• Monitor security cameras throughout the day and report suspicious activity.

• Daily monitoring of GPS vehicle tracking via online tracking system.

• Ensure proper functioning of all GPS units and troubleshoot issues.

• Utilize online GPS tracking system for reports / e-mail updates on vehicle idle time, speeding, unauthorized stops, reckless driving,

current traffic conditions, and all other areas as required.

• Monitor GPS for safety compliance including speeding, reckless driving, accidents, and all other applicable areas.

• Daily review of driving routes from prior and current day for reduction in travel times via improved routes; communicate routes to necessary employees or Departments;

• Monitor GPS for unauthorized stops and other violations of company policies.

• Monitor daily traffic conditions to alert employees of traffic conditions and alternate routes.

• Report all safety and other violations to applicable Department Heads; Work with Human Resources and Safety Manager to develop

disciplinary policies related to driving violations.

• Issue and distribute key fobs to all new drivers.

• Administer and maintain accurate records of all GPS key fobs issued to current and new drivers; Periodically audit key fob records to

ensure driver assignments are accurate.

• Complete necessary paperwork to issue replacement key fobs to drivers.

• All other related duties as assigned by applicable Managers.

 

 Qualifications:

• Proficiency in basic computer skills with some hardware and systems abilities being a plus

• Ability to quickly acquire knowledge required for using applicable computer software applications through on-line and other training. Ability to install GPS units and Camera’s would also be a plus in this position.
