The “SAFETY DIRECTOR” is to coordinate, implement, write, and manage safety policies and procedures for all landscape and construction activities at multiple job sites. In addition to managing all accident investigations to determine the root cause of the incident while implementing action plans to assist in eliminating future incidents.
Duties are as follows but will not be limited to: Planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state and federal Occupational Safety rules and regulations.
The Safety Director will train employees and managers in work site safety practices. This will include proper investigation to determine the root cause of all accidents and injuries throughout every division of the organization to include issuance of corrective action in a timely manner.
Comply with insurance investigation procedures, while submitting accident reports required to the Insurance Claims Administrator for processing within 24 – 48 hours following an incident. Work closely with the Insurance Claims Administrator and the insurance carrier to reduce ALL employee loss time, while keeping and maintaining all safety files and records.
The Safety Director will administer company wide safety talks and demonstrations when necessary to aid in safety training procedures. All other duties as assigned to ensure all Safety related items are being managed.
